Shipping Swag to Meetups and WordCamps

What swag do we send?

For WordCamps we provide WordPress branded lanyards and a full pack (200) of W logo buttons and stickers.

For official WordPress Meetup groups we provide a “half pack” (100) of W logo buttons and stickers.

Signing in to the Swag Store

If your account has been added to the Deputies group in the Swag Store (ask an Admin to add you), you can order swag. To log in, you’ll use the one click login for your WordPress.com account.

Ordering swag and lanyards for WordCamps

9 weeks before a WordCamp, we receive an automated notification to send swag to them. Before you send a shipment based on a request from the organizer or a system email, check the notes section on the WordCamp’s page on Central to ensure swag hasn’t already been ordered.

Buttons & Stickers

Any WordCamp under 500 attendees should receive 1 full button and sticker pack. 500+ attendees should receive 2 full packs. 1000+ attendees should receive 3, and so on.

Lanyards

Lanyards come in packages of 100 and, unlike buttons and stickers, we have to make sure that there’s a lanyard for every attendee so round up to the next hundred. For example, if a WordCamp is expecting 100 attendees, you should send them 200 lanyards.

Ordering swag for Meetups

All meetup groups who have not received swag in the past 18 months are eligible for a “half pack” of WordPress swag, which contains 100 W logo stickers and 100 W logo buttons.

From here, you follow the same checkout procedure as you would for WordCamp swag. Make sure you have the correct number of items and don’t forget to tick the box to ship to a different address.

Once the order is completed, you’ll update the Meetup Status doc to note that you placed the order.
